The Asian Pavement Engineering Society (APES) was initiated by a group of pavement engineering professionals and researchers from 5 Asian countries in 2017. After several meetings, the society was officially registered in Singapore in May 2019. The objectives of APES are to:

• Promote and provide international forum for the exchange of ideas, information and cooperation among pavement professionals in Asia

• Improve pavement technology and skills

• Achieve a broader recognition of profesionals in the pavement industry

• Promote a positive image of professionals in the pavement industry to the general public
